Hey there – I’m Leah, the Founder and Director of Freethinker Co.
Since I can remember, I’ve been on the hunt for meaning. The type that elicits purpose in the lives that we lead. I have scoured the globe in search of this intangible feeling and have been fortunate to dance in its presence more times than I can count. I have found it laced in conversations with people from all walks of life. I’ve found it in the stories I scribble on paper, and I’ve found it in the stillness of moments – the quiet and the loud.
I believe we are all on a search for meaning and purpose, and I believe it is this intention for change that will create widespread transformation – the positive, equitable and sustainable kind.
I think we all desire connection, and a sense of community and belonging.
And I think the more we celebrate our difference and unite in our sameness, the better the world is.
I’m a writer, yoga teacher, international development worker and a communications consultant all rolled into one!
The personal bits: I feel most connected and myself when salty and immersed in the ocean. I am a mumma to my beautiful baby boy Jude Paul, named after my brilliant Dad Paul Davies who left this realm last year, but forever guides my every move. I am a writer to my very core and a yogi through and through. I own and teach at my boutique yoga studio The Yoga Collective Terrigal (aka The Collective) on Australia’s Central Coast of NSW. These walls and floors are my humble home. They have held me through the highest of highs, and the lowest of lows. The community here is my family. I have been traveling this grand and marvellous world of ours since before I could crawl (so thankful for my adventurous parents!) I get lost in new cultures, places and people, and learn from their values and ways of life. I am collecting along the way the bits that resonate with me most to add to the life I want to live and lead.
I believe if we connect – human to human – factions, frictions and silos dissolve.
I believe conversations strengthen this connection and bridge worlds.
I hope you agree.
I’ve been very fortunate to study and learn under brilliant teachers at brilliant institutions:
